To support the Institute for Community Cultural Development, (ICCD) a unique training program that provides hands-on workshops and on-site experiences for artists and community developers who are engaged in innovative partnerships across sectors and disciplines. Intermedia Arts will also convene the leaders in this field and document their practices. Intermedia Arts, in partnership with the Midtown Greenway Coalition, a community development organization and FORECAST Public Artworks will continue to implement the Institute for Community Cultural Development. The ICCD will examine issues of gentrification, partnership, stabilization, rank and privilege as they relate to and intersect with art and community development. ICCD Fellows continue to partner with local organizations to create artistic designs that respond to the Midtown Greenway, a 5-mile stretch of bicycle and walking path that runs through 16 neighborhoods. In 2004 ICCD will place emphasis and focus on the recruitment of new immigrant participants and they will convene practitioners in the field of community cultural development. Intermedia Arts will also share results of the ICCD convening through a written report that will be accessible on-line as well as through the development of curriculum.
