For general support to preserve, promote and protect Van Cortland Park as a unique resource to New York City residents. The grant will support Friends of Van Cortland Park's efforts to respond to ongoing cuts in New York City's Parks and Recreation budget; develop volunteer, community and environmental programs; and secure funding for environmental and structural restoration projects.
