Presidential Authority Grant
To support the California Learning Tour and Funders Dialogue, which will educate representatives from New York-based foundations about social, economic and environmental organizing in Los Angeles. Liberty Hill staff will present an overview of the work being done in Los Angeles, organize meetings for funders with up to 13 individual organizations and will also organize a Funders Dialogue, providing the opportunity to meet Los Angeles-based program officers from the California Wellness Foundation, the California Endowment, California Community Foundation, Washington Mutual Bank and Fannie Mae Foundation. Liberty Hill will use its unique perspective and connections as an L.A.-based public charity to organize an intensive day of education for funders interested in innovative and effective models of organizing. The day's learnings will be included in a report to funders on organizing activities in California's most populous regions.
