Presidential Authority Grant
To support a study that enables funders, organizers, and labor unions to develop a better understanding of worker centers and the roles these centers play in improving the quality of life of immigrant workers, including improving their health and well being. The study will result in a series of written products that present a typology of worker centers and the findings of case studies that highlight best practices in the field. The cases selected will vary by sector, ethnic constituency and organizational sponsorship. All will have an organizing component.
