To support The AVODAH Alumni Program to engage the alumni of AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps in ongoing work for social justice. All alumni have spent one year working in a community based social justice organization while sharing a common residence infused with Jewish culture. AVODAH will now move to the next phase of its growth by developing a program that will focus and strengthen the efforts of alumni in their continuing quest to integrate their Jewish and activist lives and to help them bring their commitment to this integration to the broader community, including the Jewish community. Through monthly study, training, and reflection sessions, annual conferences, issue campaigns, linkages with alumni of other Jewish service programs, and outreach to other young Jewish adults, the AVODAH alumni program will effect social change by engaging alumni as ambassadors for passionate, pro-active forms of Jewish engagement in social justice work.
