National Center for Jewish Healing - Senior Resource Faculty Project

To enable the staff of the Senior Resource Faculty Project to create, train and support an expanded cadre of rabbis and other healing professionals as a senior faculty of the Jewish healing movement, so as to deepen the understanding and practice of Jewish healing and promote the growth and development of the field. Each member of this group of 21 outstanding people will develop her/his own project, such as articles and monographs, curricula, music, and/or liturgy and rituals. Through annual retreats, on-going conversation, and professional support, the senior faculty will become a leadership body which will substantiate the field of Jewish healing, define its principles and practices, and help to underscore its contribution to contemporary Jewish life. The members will serve as a resource for healing centers, synagogues, community centers and other educational and service organizations wishing to create and sustain Jewish healing programs.
