Presidential Authority Grant
To support the Spirituality Institute, a retreat-based learning program for Jewish leaders to help them discover and explore their own inner lives so that they may lead from a place of greater authenticity and wisdom. It achieves this through direct service programs, conferences, publications and special events. Efforts toward this end will be achieved in program year 2003 by completing the second rabbinic cohort, completing the first year of the first cantorial cohort, completing two year-long programs for lay leaders, holding a rabbinic alumni retreat, completing a lay curriculum to be used in training leaders of lay groups, organizing a major academic conference, researching and developing a program for a cohort of Jewish educators, and establishing a web presence. It will also build its board of directors, create a circle of donors, and obtain its own 501(c) 3, independent of Shefa.
