Economic Accountability Project
To support the Economic Accountability Project to address the ways some partnerships between government and corporate interests have resulted in abuses of the rights of poor individuals in the United States and abroad. The Center for Constitutional Rights uses a variety of strategies to challenge both government and business to conduct their affairs in ways that respect the human rights and fundamental equality of all. Domestically, CCR will use litigation, public education and advocacy to end monopolistic prison telephone contracts that impose undue hardships on families of prisoners. Abroad, CCR will employ human rights litigation in an effort to hold multinational corporations accountable for human rights abuses and create incentives for corporations to comply with international law on human rights.
