Institutional Investor Summit on Climate Risk
To support the Institutional Investor Summit on Climate Risk, a high-level conference to discuss the growing financial risk of climate change. Institutional investors, investment advisors, public officials, and others will be invited to participate and the event will take place in New York City at the United Nations on November 21, 2003. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a forum for those with responsibility for the long term preservation of pension funds, foundation endowments, and other financial assets to exchange views on the potential risks and to share best practices for addressing those risks. By creating an atmosphere in which large institutional investors can support one another's concerns about climate change, the summit has the potential to foster public policy solutions and bold steps by companies.
